Annemiek Van Vleuten leads all the official rankings as the 2021 season’s almost gone

She’s now recovering from her crash at Paris-Roubaix

Emma Norsgaard and Annemiek Van Vleuten have broght Movistar Team back to the leading women cycling teams rankings, with the dutch star making herself the best numbers of the individual stats, so the main signing of the navarrese staff last year has completed and beat all the expectations.

Van Vleuten leads the victories rankings although she´s actually recovering from a very hard crash at the first Paris-Rooubaix women´s edition, and has taken Movistar Team to compete side by side with Trek Segafredo for the second position in the ranks, still far from the SD Worx victories-machine.

But the overview could change in this first women pro cycling teams lines next season after Anna Van Der Breggen’s retirement to work from the cars, as herself, Marianne Vos and Van Vleuten have dominated the dutch and international road cycling scene in the last years.

Other names as Longo Borghini, Wiebes, Kopecky or Van Dijk have gave us a good show this season but anyway, Movistar Team will be probably growing in the stats next year as the squad has announced the adition of the cuban sprinter Arlenis Sierra and the young aussie promise Sarah Gigante, a diamond that will shine sooner or later in Europe too.
