The Beat Cycling Club got 7 victories in the championships that were turned into a tribute to Amy Pieters
Laurine Van Riessen was the winner at the women’s sprint and keirin competitions held at the Dutch track cycling national championships at the end of last year. Daniek Hengeveld was the winner at the pursuit and points races and the rest of the disciplines were dominated by different riders with Steffie Van Der Peet (time trial), Amber Van Der Hulst (scratch), Marit Raaijmakers (elimination) and Nina Kessler and Marjolein Van’t Geelof as the madison champions. Amy Pieters who´s still figthing for her life in an spanish hospital, was in the mind of everyone during the three racing days.
The men’s championships Yoeri Havik (Beat CC) was the winner at the scratch, points and elimination races and at the madison making couple with Cees Bol, while Harrie Lavreysen showed one more time his world domination at sprint and keirin disciplines. Another Bear Cycling Club member, Tijmen Van Loon was the best at the time trial competition and Brian Megens got the victory at individual pursuit.
