The team has been the best 2021 italian squad according to the recent UCI rankings
Mattia Bais, Leonardo Marchiori and Mattia Viel will compete tomorrow at the Criterium of the Giro d’Italia in Dubai. The race organized by Rcs Sport with the support of MadeinItaly.gov.it, Dubai Sports Council and Expo 2020 Dubai. will take place as part of Expo Dubai: it will be 30 laps of a 2.1 kilometer long circuit.
The italian squad that the next season will change its name for Dronehopper, has been the best of tis country as the recent UCI rankings confirm, adding 12 victories to their stats with Matteo Malucelli, Simon Pellaud, Jefferson Alexander Cepeda, Jhonatan Restrepo, Andrii Ponomar, Santiago Umba, Janos Pelikan, Daniel Felipe Muñoz as contributors to that number in America and Europe.
The team manager Gianni Saviohas commented that “twelve victories represent a satisfactory balance sheet, especially considering the injuries which, over the course of the season, made several riders unavailable. We are proud to have launched among the immediately victorious young professionals: Leonardo Marchiori at the Tour de Bretagne, Andrii Ponomar in the Ukrainian Championship and Santiago Umba at the Tour Alsace on the historic finish line of the Planche des Belles Filles”.
